Currently I am located only virtually, but that is subject to change, based on client interest. Group sessions are in development.

Quite well, it turns out. This is one of the surprises that came out of Covid. Clients often report that they enjoy the convenience of Telehealth sessions because they do not have to commute anywhere, find parking or arrange for childcare. In fact, clients fit our 1-hour sessions into their work day so that their evenings are then free.

Intake sessions usually cover a lot of ground, though they are the typical session length (55 minutes). I ask many questions about social, physical, and mental health history, as well as ask you to describe what symptoms you are experiencing and why you are seeking therapy. As sessions move forward, I am always open to feedback as to what you find most beneficial in therapy.

That is difficult to say, but plan on being in therapy for at least 3-6 months, as the foundation of therapy is building therapeutic rapport and trust between client and therapist. Frequently, people stay in therapy for 6 months to one year or more, as meaningful change takes time. It also takes time to change your way of thinking and to integrate new thoughts/behaviors.

I offer a simple, straight forward price for my services. Please visit the Fees page to review counseling service fees.
Even with my straight forward pricing, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the total cost of your mental health care.
Under the No Surprise Act, health care providers need to give clients who either do not have insurance or choose not to use their insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, which includes counseling/therapy.
Because of this, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of counseling services rendered by your therapist
In addition, you have the right to ask me for a Good Faith Estimate before you scheduled an initial session, during your Free 15-min phone call consultation.
If you ever receive a bill/charge, that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For more information about your right to a Good Faither Estimate, please visit www.cms/gov/nosurprises.
